Biography

Simon Virley CB is Partner and UK Head of Energy and Natural Resources at KPMG. He was previously Director General for Energy Markets and Infrastructure at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (2009-15). From 2000 to 20003 he was Prime Minister Tony Blair’s Private Secretary on economic affairs. He has also worked at the Treasury, the Department of Transport and the Cabinet Office.
