Josh Walton

Biography

Josh was an Associate on The Opportunity Project for Cities team in North America. He has a background in education, government, and racial equity.

Prior to joining CPI, Josh was a 3rd grade teacher at Meridian Public Charter School in Washington D.C. where he managed, mentored, and taught 20 inner-city students in reading, writing, and mathematics. He has experience in government working as a Congressional intern for the U.S House of Representatives. He also has legal experience working for the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center, supporting its mission to defend indigent inmates on death row.

Josh graduated from Harvard with a B.A. in Government and African American Studies.
