Biography

Allan is a Program Director for CPI North America. He brings over 15 years of experience implementing and managing community-engaged design and urban development projects focused on racial equity, social justice, and anti-displacement through creating community spaces for non-profits, affordable housing development, and community-control-based planning.

His career has centered on delivering high-quality programs and projects by designing and implementing inclusive, ground-up community engagement strategies. This has helped to drive local buy-in while cultivating government partnership through best practices in urban planning, fluency in complex financial systems, and the development of innovative funding models.

Before CPI, Allan managed large affordable housing development and community capital projects at organizations in New York, including Enterprise Community Partners, Hester Street, and Breaking Ground. Allan holds architecture degrees from Rice University and the University of Washington and is a licensed architect and AICP-certified planner.
